Mechanism first, price second
Medical sources explain the mechanism better than a pricing guide can. Below is where to read the explanation and what to ask a clinic so you understand what your quote actually pays for.
Where the explanation lives
The MedlinePlus page on Botox is a public health library entry and the plainest place to start. The Cleveland Clinic page on cosmetic Botox is written for patients. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons page on botulinum toxin and its piece on what you need to know about Botox show how a professional society explains it. Read two of them and note any place they differ, then bring those notes to the consultation.
What this means for pricing
When you understand what is being treated and where, a quote stops being a single number and becomes a set of choices. Ask the clinic to say which areas are included, how the amount is decided, and what is charged for. Those three answers explain most of the spread between quotes.
Four questions that explain a quote

Ask each clinic:
- Which areas do you suggest treating for my goal, and why?
- How is the amount for my visit decided, and how is it priced?
- Does the quote include a check-in after treatment?
- Is the number a firm quote or an estimate?
Why we leave the science to clinicians
We explain pricing rather than pharmacology, so a licensed clinician is the person to explain how treatment applies to you.
