Is a chemical peel good for all skin types?

Is a chemical peel good for all skin types?

Why we will not call this one

This page will not tell you yes or no, because the answer belongs to a licensed provider who has looked at your skin. The better question to bring to a quote is what the clinic does when your skin and the peel on the menu do not match, and what that does to the price.

Where the clinical answer lives

The Cleveland Clinic guide to chemical peels names types of peels and conditions treated, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons chemical peel page is a second independent read. Start with both, and note anything that sounds like it applies to you.

From a pricing view, a peel that is chosen for your skin may not be the peel on the advertised price. A low menu price tells you about the starting treatment. It does not tell you whether that treatment is the one recommended for you.

Three questions about fit and price

  • Will you choose a peel after looking at my skin, and is that visit charged?
  • If you recommend a different peel from the one advertised, how does the price change?
  • What do you do if you decide a peel is not right for me, and is the consultation fee refunded?

Turn the menu price into a final price

Collect the advertised price, then ask each clinic what happens to it after they have examined your skin. Compare the final recommended price, not the menu price.

Skin type is a clinical call

This site explains how peel prices work and does not assess skin, so whether a peel suits your skin type is for your provider to decide.
