Reasons come from the clinician, price questions from us
The reasons a person chooses fillers are best explained by the clinician who examines them, and we do not list medical reasons here. Our sources for this page are reference pages, and we point you to them instead of paraphrasing. What we can help with is the price side: what to ask so a filler quote means the same thing from one clinic to the next.
What sits behind the question
Ask each clinic whether its filler quote is framed by product, by area treated or by visit. When you compare, ask each one to state what the number covers so you are not comparing unlike things. Ask also whether a follow-up visit or a touch-up is priced separately.

For the medical background, start with the Cleveland Clinic overview of dermal fillers and the FDA page on dermal fillers and soft tissue fillers. The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery page on soft-tissue fillers for aging skin comes from a professional society. For a closer look at safety, there is a systematic review of adverse events reported from hyaluronic acid filler injections to the face. We have not checked how any of it applies to you, so read it as background for your consultation.
Making filler quotes comparable
- Write down what you hope to change and bring it to the consultation.
- Ask each clinic what the quote includes and what would add to it.
- Ask whether follow-up and touch-up visits cost extra.
- When you compare clinics in Redmond or Bellevue, use the same wording for every request.
Why health questions go elsewhere
This site is about how prices are built and has no medical staff of its own, so a licensed clinician should answer anything about your health.
